We Need Your Help!

Dear Fellow Theater Arts Enthusiasts,

During the pandemic, theater programs across the country suffered. In our modern society, theater is a universal way for people to express themselves and share their feelings with the world. Theater is an important avenue through which to connect with others, especially in times of crisis. As a theater student at New York University during September 11th, I know, firsthand how hopeless artists can feel in a moment of crisis and how truly cathartic expressing emotion can be for both the audience and the artists. 

Ultimately, theater is a platform for people to express themselves, to make those around them think, and about what it is to be human. This is why I was shocked to find out that many of our students have never seen a professional theatrical production.  For this reason, the Theater Arts Boosters of Benicia is looking to raise $10,000 to sponsor a joint field trip with Benicia Middle School Students and Benicia High School students to a professional theatrical production.
